How do I obtain my FEMA Student ID (SID) number?


Step 1: To register, go to https://cdp.dhs.gov/femasid
Step 2: Click on the "Register for a FEMA SID" box.
Step 3: Follow the instructions and provide the necessary information to create your account.
Step 4: You will receive an email with your SID number. You should save this number in a secure location.

 

What do I do with this new SID number?
 

When you begin the exam process you will be asked to enter your SID.


How do I take an Independent Study course online?


Step 1: Click on ISP Course List and select your course from the list.
Step 2: Review course materials by choosing any one of the options in the "Take This Course" box on the right-hand side of the page.
Step 3: Submit your final exam online. You will be enrolled in the course when you submit your final exam answers online.

Step 4: You will receive an email confirmation at the email address provided on your final exam submission within 1-2 business days for the course.
