Become a Bedford County Public Safety Volunteer!
Bedford County currently has more than 750 dedicated volunteers
staffing 24 fire and EMS agencies in 30 stations placed strategically
throughout the county. Bedford County's Fire and Rescue volunteers are
proud men and women who dedicate their time and talents to protect the
lives and property of the citizens and visitors of our beautiful
community. Trained to state and national standards, our volunteers
respond to more than 5,000 EMS and 2,000 fire incidents each year.
Volunteers are people just like you who are willing to devote time
every day to saves lives and property. You don't need to have prior
training, just a desire to learn. There is always room for one more
good person on our team. Becoming a volunteer will allow you to do
things that you never imagined.
Because Bedford County's Fire Stations and Rescue Squads are staffed by
volunteers, we cannot offer you a salary. But we can offer you much,
much more...
